PhD. Andris Ambainis - University of Latviaambainis

Andris Ambainis Pioneering the Quantum Computing. He is known for his groundbreaking work on quantum algorithms, including the development of quantum walk-based algorithms. His research has focused on understanding the power and limitations of quantum computers and exploring the potential applications of quantum algorithms to various computational problems.

Prof. Ambainis has gained global recognition, earning prestigious awards like the European Association for Theoretical Computer Science (EATCS) Presburger Award. His extensive publications in renowned scientific journals and captivating presentations have established him as a highly sought-after figure in the quantum computing community.

Dr. Andrew Shields Head of Toshiba Quantum Technology Division Andrew

Andrew Shields leads R&D and business development on quantum technologies in Toshiba Europe. According to Google Scholar, he has published over 500 research papers and patents in the field of quantum devices and systems. He was a member of the leadership team of the realising a large scale quantum network consortium in Europe and the EU Strategic Research Agenda Working Group. In the UK, he led the AQuaSeC project developing next generation quantum communication technology. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and was awarded the Mott Medal and Prize in 2013 for research on quantum photonics and its applications and the Katharine Burr Blodgett Medal and Prize in 2023 for pioneering industrial R&D over two decades on quantum communication devices and systems, leading to their commercial exploitation in the UK.

Lars Nordbryhn - Senior Architect Quantum ambassador, IBMLars

His professional roles have encompassed a range of positions, including systems programmer, consultant, and solution architect. Since 2018, he has been the Norwegian focal point for IBM's Quantum Computing program. Additionally, he is the Quantum computing ambassador.

Marco Terenziani - Optics Strategic Growth Director, Nokia Marco Terenziani

Marco Terenziani is the director of the Strategic Growth function within the Optics Europe Business Center to develop the business of quantum security, neutral host and EU funding.  Before taking this position, he was proposal manager and domain architect for optics solutions and he started his career as FPGA / ASICS designer for the micro-wave division.

Erik Mikelsons is Country Manager for the rapidly growing technology distribution company PEDAB in the Baltic Countries.
